Hilena Addis is a Program Manager at the Medical Ethics and Health Policy Department, where she works on projects aimed at improving health outcomes in disinvested communities across Philadelphia.
Before joining the team, Hilena managed clinical trial operations for leukemia studies at Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center, focusing on integrating palliative care to enhance patient outcomes and reduce caregiver burden. During this time, she also helped create a training manual to scale up human resources in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Ethiopia.
Hilena is passionate about inclusive policymaking, health equity, and global health. She received her BA in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University and earned her Masters in Health Care Innovation (MHCI) from the University of Pennsylvania.
