Community Interventions

Lasting improvements in health and opportunity are strongest when solutions are designed with communities, not for them.

About

Community interventions focus on place-based, partnership-driven approaches to improving opportunity and health. At Opportunity for Health, we work closely with communities to understand local priorities and values – and to identify what truly works on the ground. Our research shows that interventions are most effective when they are shaped by the people they are meant to serve and when they address multiple dimensions of opportunity at once. By partnering with community organizations, government, non-profits, businesses, and other sectors, we design and rigorously test interventions that expand opportunity, strengthen hope for the future, and improve health outcomes.
