Biography
Nicole Ellingson, MPH is a clinical research coordinator who recently joined the Opportunity for Health lab. Nicole received her Master of Public Health from Arcadia University and her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Eastern University. During her graduate studies, Nicole completed thesis work related to firearm suicide, mental health intervention evaluations, and gun ownership in rural Pennsylvania. Nicole has done extensive community and field-based work in HIV, housing and homelessness, mental health, and harm reduction. Nicole is interested in prison abolition, drug policy reform, and the integration of physical and behavioral health care. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, baking, quilting, and spending time outdoors.
